DEPUTY SHERIFF POSITION
Granite County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Granite County resident Deputy
Sheriff. Must be 18 years of age or older and must possess a valid Montana Driver’s License; must not
have any felony or domestic violence convictions. POST Certification preferred but not required.
Subject to thorough background and driving record checks. Must have a High School Diploma or GED
equivalent. Must complete the Law Enforcement Academy Basic Certification Course within one year of
hire, if not POST certified. Must pass a pre-employment psychological evaluation and medical exam; be
of good moral and personal integrity. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, the applicant
will serve a one-year probationary period.
